Bill and Blake Wehmeier are father and son farmers. Farming has been the family livelihood for five generations since 1854 when the family emigrated to the United States from Germany and settled in the Midwest. Blake joined the family farming business after receiving his agriculture degree from Purdue University in 2011. The Wehmeiers farm popcorn, field corn, soybeans, and wheat in the rich farm ground of Bartholomew and Jackson Counties in Indiana. In addition to grain crops the Wehmeiers also raise show pigs. In support of the local agriculture community Bill Wehmeier serves on the Bartholomew County 4-H Fair board where the fair is held each year across the road from his farm. Family Farm Grown® is proud to include the Wehmeier Family as growers of our popcorn varieties.
